Our Mission

"Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community”  The objectives of JROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.  The AFJROTC program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, the development of flight, applied flight sciences, military aerospace policies, and space exploration.

Goals

The goals of this program are to instill values of citizenship, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment in high school students.

Objectives

Our objectives are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship; promote community service; instill responsibility, strengthen character and self-discipline; and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.  Through these objectives, cadets will: 
      1.  Understand the need for national security, authority, and military in a democracy. 
      2.  Develop patriotism.  
      3.  Develop habits of order and discipline using the military training model.
      4.  Develop strong morals, self-reliance, self-esteem, leadership, and communication skills.
      5.  Be familiar with the aerospace age, doctrine, and career opportunities.
      6.  Be familiar with military customs, courtesies, and traditions.
      7.  Graduate from high school and pursue higher education or vocational goals.
      8.  Develop social skills and values and adhere to the Cadet Code of Conduct and Honor Code.
      9.  Participate in community service activities.
    10.  Follow the rules of parents, school administrators, teachers, and community officials.
